Hello there!

My name is Stefan and I am from Germany. I am a tech lead slash senior software developer at Wikando. There I build apps, create (hopefully) beautiful front ends and functional back ends and spend my time with a lot of clever and talented people.

What else would you like to know?

I did my B.A. in Anglophone Studies and my M.A. in Linguistics and Web Technology, back in 2012. That sounds fancy, I know, but all it means is that I spent half of my studies with (cognitive) linguistics and the other half with (practical) computer science (mainly PHP, SQL and JavaScript). After my studies, my wife and I spent a year in New Zealand and I enjoyed it to no end.

My favorite technologies are Go, TypeScript, PHP, and Bash. I love modding my shell, strongly believe in the unix philosophy, enjoy writing tests, and think that code is mainly written for humans.

As you might have guessed, I like software development, reading and reading about software development. However, I also love listening to music, playing guitar, traveling, camping, tramping*, world history, and sports (mainly bodyweight training and longboarding). The best thing for me, though, is spending time with my wife and my daughters.
